Audrey Zardkoohi and Elizabeth Baumgarten were enjoying a play date with their children approximately a year ago. While chatting, the two women found themselves back on a familiar topic - children’s toys. They were both complaining about the money they spent on toys that got little use, the craft projects that needed so many items they became ridiculously expensive, and the guilt they felt when they did not have enough time to plan meaningful activities for their children. They talked about exchanging toys with one another, but then realized that they had purchased many of the same items and in reality, an exchange would not fix the problem. There were too many conflicts that could arise. They knew there had to be a better way.

Audrey is the mother of Ava (4) and Maddox (1). Originally from Orange County, California, she currently resides in Aurora, Colorado with her children and husband, Mack. Audrey earned a Master’s Degree in Social Work from UCLA and has an extensive background in child welfare and development as well as child therapy. She worked as a social worker for several years before deciding to become a stay at home mother to her children.

Elizabeth is the mother of Alex (5) and Shawn (2). She and her husband, Jason, are both from Tampa, Florida and now reside in Centennial, Colorado. Elizabeth earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Florida State University and worked in the sports and entertainment industry for several years before deciding to go to graduate school to become an educator. Upon completing her Master’s Degree from the University of South Florida, she taught elementary school before becoming a stay at home mother to her sons.

The women had the knowledge and background to research and find a product that would meet their needs. Their first step was searching the Internet for toy rentals or exchange programs, but most companies were so expensive it defeated their need to “tryout” toys before buying. While bouncing ideas around and still searching, they thought about how perfect it would be to receive a different set of toys each month, centered around a common theme. It would be similar to the enthusiasm they felt when receiving the monthly Ranger Rick or Highlites magazine as kids, but so much more. From there the ideas snowballed. What if they got toys and a craft project? What if they also received a CD, a DVD… Still they found nothing online that met their needs. It was at this time, the two moms began their small basement business. They figured that if it were a product they needed and wanted, it would be something other parents, guardians, daycares workers would need as well.

Each bucket is created with their own children in mind. In addition, these mothers use their extensive knowledge of child development to create a monthly product that is entertaining, educational, and allows opportunities for parents to be involved, rather than add stress to their already difficult job of raising bright, well-rounded, creative children. And that is how My Busy Bucket was born.

Spring EGGstravaganza is becoming a tradition in the Parker, Lone Tree, Highlands Ranch area. It always takes place the day before Easter Sunday on Saturday, April 11. The event which includes spring crafts, fun games and various egg hunt stations throughout the museum. starts hopping at 9 a.m. and lasts until 5 p.m. Your kids get to meat the Easter Bunny and take pictures! 2008 Parker Colorado Holiday Baseball Camp

The 2008 Parker Holiday Baseball Camp promises to be a big hit with young baseballplayers! 2008 World Champion pitcher Brad Lidge of the Philadelphia Phillies was recently announced as an addition to the camp. Lidge has won a number of honors throughout the 2008 season including the DHL Delivery Man of the Year (MLB's top relief pitcher) and the National League Comeback Player of the Year. He also finished fourth in the National League CY Young Award and eighth in the National League Most Valuable Player Award.

Clint Barmes of our local Colorado Rockies also returns for his second year of camp. Lidge and Barmes will be joined by the Rockies' Corey Sullivan, the San Diego Padres' Josh Bard, and the Seattle Mariners' Denny Stark.

This year's Holiday Baseball Camp will be held at the Parker Fieldhouse, 18700 E. Plaza Drive, on Dec. 27 and 28 from 1 to 5 p.m. each day. Baseball players ages six to 18 can register for camp online at www.ParkerRec.com. Click the online registration icon and search with keywords Holiday Baseball. Registration fees are $175 for Parker residents, $195 for non-residents.

The teaming up of this All Star coaching staff, the Parker Fieldhouse, and camp director and baseball instructor Mike Bard has provided an amazing opportunity for young baseball players. The indoor facility allows kids to get field time during the winter, when they otherwise can't go outside. This year the entire 100,000 square feet of sports turf, cages and other surfaces will be available to Mike's staff and the campers. Mike's staff will include enough coaches to have one coach for every 10 campers. The quality of the instruction is very one-on-one, with adjustments being made according to the needs of the player.

It's been a long time coming for some tennis courts to finally be a part of the recreation program here in Parker, and this is a great improvement to the town! There will be a dedication on Monday, Nov. 3 at 4 p.m.The park is located at the southwest corner of Twenty Mile Road and Plaza Drive, just west of the Parker Fieldhouse.

The eight-acre Railbender Park includes a new skate park, four tennis courts, two picnic shelters, restroom facilities and a playground. Thanks to our Town Council of Parker for listening to the citizens of Parker.

Residency directors from Missoula Children's Theatre will audition local children in kindergarten through high school on Monday, Nov. 3 at 4 p.m. at the Mainstreet Center. No preparations are necessary-just bring a smile! The cast and crew will work hard all week with daily rehearsals from 4 to 6 and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Cast members must be available for all rehearsals in order to participate.

If there's something strange in your neighborhood...Who ya gonna call? PARKER FIELDHOUSE! That's right, it's that time of year again when goblins, ghouls and even an ape in a bikini strap on their skates for the Second Annual Halloween Spook Skate at the Parker Fieldhouse, 18700 E. Plaza Dr. Family Friendly Halloween festivities will kick-off on Saturday, Oct. 25 from 5 to 9 p.m.

Your Halloween Spook Skate DJ will keep the spooky tunes friendly for kids of all ages. Fun skating games such as Spider Races, One Leg Skates, Limbo, Hokey Pokey, Chicken Dance and GHOSTBUSTERS are all in the cauldron! Please bring your own inline or roller skates. For safety reasons, we cannot allow skateboards at open skate.

In addition to spooky skating on the inline rink, a variety of other Halloween activities will be offered including a youth friendly spooky movie, Halloween crafts, raffles and concessions. Fieldhouse team rooms by day will transform into "Scream Rooms" by night for trick-or-treat stations. The Climbing Wall will also be open from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Climbing waivers must be signed by a parent.

Creativity is a must as we host our Second Annual Costume Contest with prizes in a variety of categories. Ages two to six categories include Most Original and Cutest. Ages seven to 10 categories are Most Original and Scariest. Ages 11 to 18 categories include Most Original and Funniest. Contestants must check in no later than 7 p.m.

The Second Annual Halloween Spook Skate is fun for the whole family. Children under 10 years must be accompanied by an adult, but non-skating adults are FREE! You can purchase pre-sale tickets at the Parker Fieldhouse for $5. Remaining tickets will be sold at the door on Oct. 25 for $6. I just wanted to bump this thread back up to the top. Rick, the father of the child has posted and the sister of Peyton's Mother just left a message. Can the internet be used for good.. that is the question? Someone has seen them.... contact the authorities if you have.

Circumstances: The child was abducted by his non-custodial mother, Joan Michelle Anderson. A felony warrant for Kidnapping was issued for the abductor on June 5, 2008. The child's nickname is PJ. The abductor walks with a limp. She may use the first name Michelle.

Members receive early entry to the event at 1 p.m.The Wildlife Experience is hosting its annual Trick-or-Treat OFF the Street this year, a safe and fun celebration of Halloween featuring games, candy stations, crafts, storytelling - and plenty of ghoulish surprises. Trick or Treat OFF the Street features a variety of activities for children of all ages. These include scary stories, creepy crawly crafts, and a haunted graveyard. Candy booths will line the museum's hallways, allowing guests to fill up their bags with candy and spooky toys. Many of the museum's unique galleries will also be open for visitors to stroll through as they wind their way through Trick or Treat OFF the Street. So after they stop in our chilling cemetery, they might enjoy stopping in our Children's Gallery to play one of our interactive wildlife video games. On Tuesday, Aug. 5, neighborhoods throughout Parker are being invited to join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the 25th Annual National Night Out (NNO) crime and drug prevention event.

From 7 to 10 p.m, residents throughout Parker are asked to lock their doors, turn on outside lights and spend the evening at O'Brien Park. Parker's NNO event, Party in the Park, will be full of fun activities for the entire family. Bring your friends, neighbors, children, blankets and lawn chairs and come support NNO. The Police Department, Town of Parker, Target and Parker Fire-South Metro Fire Rescue Authority will have a variety of booths set up for everyone to enjoy including an interactive CSI Booth, face painting, sticker tattoos and visits from police officers and firemen. The Parker Police Explorers will be selling drinks as a fundraiser. At 8:30 p.m. a family friendly movie will begin on a 26-foot screen. Free popcorn will be available. This event is sponsored by the Town of Parker and Target.

National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness; generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime efforts; strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships and send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organizing and fighting back.

For the 2009 season, the club will be comprised of 2 age divisions – 10U and 11U – and will be competing in tournament baseball, as well as participating in league play through Arapahoe Youth League (AYL). Quality players interested in competitive baseball, are invited to reserve an appointment for selection tryouts. Parker Cyclones Baseball Club (a feeder program organization) was created to offer talented and motivated youth baseball players a greater opportunity for future recognition and to play against other competitive teams at a higher level. The goal of our program is to create an environment that fosters development of a high level of playing skill and character values, promotes true sportsmanship, encourages teamwork, and instills a passion and dedication for the game of Baseball and life, all in a fun, competitive environment. All players will be considered for all infield and outfield positions and can earn a minimum of 2 positions of play. As our recognized players move into high school play (the foundation purpose of our program), they should be very well prepared (to feeder guidelines) and fully capable of playing at the necessary level. Players will have opportunities to improve their individual baseball skills, as well as learn team strategy, the dynamics of the game itself and advanced fundamentals of play with an emphasis on the teamwork, dedication and perseverance needed to play competitive baseball. A maximum of eleven boys will be chosen for each team. Limited roster spots are available.

Weather forecasts are calling for a hot, sunny Independence Day this Friday. Beat the heat with a family trip to H2O'Brien pool. H2O'Brien will be open for business with special activities planned throughout the day.Among the fun activities staff is planning are water balloon tosses, greased watermelon scrambles, a pop toss (we'll throw pop in the pool and let the kids swim for it!), swim relays and rubber duck races.

H2O'Brien Pool will be closed June 14 and 15 during the Parker Country Festival.
The pool will be open Thursday, June 12 and Friday, June 13 and will reopen Monday, June 16, but customers should plan ahead for parking lot restrictions as the Festival sets up and tears down.

This two-day camp over the holiday break will teach the basics. Hitting, pitching, fielding, base running, strength and conditioning.

Coach Bard has 13 years of Division 1 college coaching experience and is currently the assistant to the hitting coach for the Colorado Rockies. His camp staff team will include, but is not limited to, Josh Bard (San Diego Padres Catcher and Mike's brother), Matt Holliday (Rockies Outfielder), Clint Barmes (Rockies Infielder), Brad Andress (Rockies Strength and Conditioning Coach), and Vinny Castilla (former Colorado Rockies standout). Coach to camper ratio will not exceed 1:10.

Coach Bard lives in Parker and saw the opening of the Fieldhouse as an opportunity to offer area youth a high quality, skill-based camp over the winter. "We are all very excited to bring a high level of instruction to the Town of Parker and also to a state-of-the-art facility like the brand new Parker Fieldhouse." Fieldhouse amenities include indoor turf, batting cages, and access to conditioning equipment, making it a perfect site for the camp.

THE GOLDEN COMPASS, a new movie targeted at children, will be released December 7, 2007. This movie is based on a the first book of a trilogy by atheist Philip Pullman. In the final book a boy and girl kill God so they can do as they please. Pullman left little doubt about his intentions when he said in a 2003 interview that "My books are about killing God."

The movie is a watered down version of the first book and is designed to be very attractive in the hope unsuspecting parents will take their children to see the the movie and that the children will want the books for Christmas.

The movie has a well known cast, including Nicole Kidman, Kevin Bacon, and Sam Elliott. It will probably be advertised extensively, so it is crucial that we get the word out to warn parents to avoid this movie.

Parker and Lone Tree Dispatch Centers Implement 9-1-1 Program for Kids

Every year, hundreds of thousands of calls are received at 9-1-1 centers across the country. The Parker/Lone Tree dispatch center has received over 7,000 calls this year, with many of these callers being young children who may be frightened and alone. Unfortunately, they are also unfamiliar with what to do and say once they have reached the 9-1-1 dispatch center.

With the growing need to educate children about 9-1-1, there has been a program created called "9-1-1 for Kids." 9-1-1 for Kids, Inc. is a nonprofit organization based out of California whose mission is to teach children how to save lives and property through the proper use of the 9-1-1 emergency numbers.

The program was implemented in the Parker and Lone Tree communities in January 2006 and has been received with much enthusiasm.The goal of the program is to teach all of the young children in the Parker and Lone Tree areas about the importance of 9-1-1 and how to use it if they have in an emergency. Children have the opportunity to practice calling 9-1-1 on a simulator designed for this program as well as watch a short "edu-tainment" video in which Red E. Fox takes four children on a fast-paced and fun-filled adventure, with stops at Telephone University, the 9-1-1: "Yes" or "No" Quiz Show, a 9-1-1- Communications Center and the 9-1-1 Hall of Heroes. Following the program, children will be provided information to take home and discuss with their families, as well as multiple goodies.

The program is typically geared toward ages Pre-K to second grade, however it can be geared towards seniors in a roundtable discussion format.Please help with this effort to educate the children in the community by scheduling a FREE presentation for your classroom, community or neighborhood organization! Local Family Band to Close Concerts in the Park Series on Aug. 27

Join the Parker Cultural Commission on Sunday, Aug. 27 from 1-3 p.m. for a free concert by local band Joe Fornothin’ (formerly Loose Change) at O'Brien Park in downtown Parker. The concert is free and complimentary ice cream will be provided by the Parker Water and Sanitation District, with additional sponsorship provided by the SCFD.

It's all in the family with 2005 Douglas County Libraries Teen Battle of the Bands winner Joe Fornothin’. This band is a true family affair, with Tyler Bills on guitar and vocals, Devin Bills on bass and dad Mark Bills on drums and percussion. Both Tyler and Devin attend Ponderosa High School in Parker. Joe Fornothin’ plays a mixture of classic and new rock favorites, mixed with original compositions, and they are currently working on their first full-length CD. The band was formed back in February 2005 in the family basement, which has since been transformed into their official rehearsal studio.

Mark Bills uses the experience gleaned from his college days in his band Lost & Found to help his sons learn what it takes to be successful in the music business these days. "They are realizing that putting everything together, like the logo, T-shirts and booking gigs takes a lot of hard work and time," says dad.

MOMS members receive a monthly newsletter, have access to an extensive library of resource materials, participate in a variety of activities ranging from playgroup outings to book club meetings, and enjoy other networking opportunities with families of multiples. MOMS often delivers meals to expectant mothers on bed rest and the organization holds clothing and equipment drives for families in need. The club also offers a mentorship program, matching expectant or new mothers with club members who have shared similar experiences. Bereavement counseling is offered by the organization. MOMS meets the second Tuesday night of each month. Meetings feature guest speakers who address topics including child development, child safety and marriage enrichment. Parker Youth Wanted to Paint Art Mural in Mainstreet Center Gym

The Town of Parker would like to invite students from local schools, art groups, clubs and other organizations, as well as individuals, to participate in the painting of a large art mural at the Mainstreet Center gym, located at 19650 E. Mainstreet. The theme of the project is “Youth
Art in Parker” and Parker youth from ages eight to 18 are encouraged to come and paint their vision of what they think the Town looks like. The mural will be created in panels and installed around the gym. "We're excited about the energy and vitality the mural project will bring to
the gym, which is heavily used by local kids," said Cindy Galasso, Mainstreet Center Coordinator.

If you would like to be a part of the mural project, but are unable to come to the Mainstreet Center, painting supplies can be dropped off at your organization and the art panels that your organization creates will be incorporated into the permanent display.

Four public painting sessions are planned: July 26 from 4 to 8 p.m., July 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Aug. 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Aug. 9 from 4 to 8 p.m. A reception to unveil the artwork will be held in September.

Nugget Greg Buckner brings Defender Camp to Parker

Denver Nuggets shooting guard Greg Buckner is bringing his youth basketball camp to the Parker Recreation Center in July. Buckner and his fellow coaching staff will work with players to improve their games in a three-day camp July 28 to 30. Boys and girls ages seven to 18 will work to develop a competitive edge as they improve shooting, ball handling, passing, defense, rebounding, speed, strength and become leaders on and off the court.

The weekend camp format works well for students in year round schools and for working parents who might have difficulty getting kids to camp on weekdays. The camp runs 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, July 28, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 29, and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 30. Players should bring a sack lunch on Saturday.

The time is simply long ago and the place is the magical, mythical Sherwood Forest. Our hero, Robin Hood, and his Merry Band of colorful characters invite you to be a part of their adventures on June 16 & 17 when Missoula Children's Theatre (MCT) and 60 local students perform an original, musical adaptation of the classic tale Robin Hood.

Local youth grades K-12 can audition for the above parts and more on Monday, June 12 at 4 p.m. at the Mainstreet Center. No advance preparations are necessary — just bring your smile! All those auditioning should arrive by 4 p.m. and plan to stay for two hours. Cast and crew must be available for daily rehearsal sessions all week in order to participate. Cast will pay a $30 participation fee.

Robin Hood will be presented at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 16 and at noon and 4 p.m. June 17 at the Mainstreet Center, 19650 E. Mainstreet in downtown Parker. Tickets are $5 for ages three and older, and are available in advance through the Parker Recreation Center. The show will last approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.

Kids get Hooked on Fishing

The Parker Recreation Department is teaming up with the Colorado Division
of Wildlife to offer Hooked on Fishing at the pond at Meridian Business
Park on Saturday, June 3.

This one-day event will familiarize youth with the basic skills needed to
catch the “big one,” including casting, knot-tying and angler ethics.
Anglers will have the opportunity to fish a pond filled with hungry
rainbow trout. No fishing pole? No problem! Each participant gets a free
rod and reel and assorted tackle to take home at the end of the day
courtesy of the Division of Wildlife and event sponsors. The program is
open to boys and girls ages seven through 12. Participants must be
accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Participation is free, but kids must pre-register by May 26. Participants
can register through Parker Recreation by phone at 303.841.4500 or in
person at 17301 E. Lincoln Ave. Participants may register to fish 9 a.m.
to noon, 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., or noon to 3 p.m. A hot dog lunch will

Importance of Exercise for Kids

Exercise is not only fun, it is also good for your body, mind, and overall well-being. Kids who exercise on a regular basis often do better in school, sleep better, don't feel as tired, are less likely to get hurt while exercising, and are stronger than less active children. Exercise also relieves stress and helps promote good behavior.

There are two types of exercise, aerobic and anaerobic. When you do an aerobic exercise, such as walking, running, swimming, inline skating, jumping rope, playing soccer, dancing, bicycling, or playing hockey, you increase your heart rate and the flow of oxygen-rich blood to the muscles. Aerobic exercise builds endurance and burns fat and calories. Doctors recommend that people do 30 minutes of aerobic exercise every day. When you do an anaerobic exercise, such as weight-lifting or push-ups, which involve short bursts of exertion, you build strength and muscle mass.

Exercise Comes in Two Flavors

The best exercise programs combine aerobic and anaerobic activity.

Aerobic exercise is any activity that increases your heart rate and causes you to consume more oxygen. Every cell in your body requires a constant supply of oxygen, and if you've been a couch potato for years, many of those cells are being deprived. This is why, once you accustom yourself to a regular routine of aerobic exercise, you will begin to feel better than you did before.

If it's been a long time since you did any vigorous activity, consider getting some professional advice from both your doctor and a certified fitness expert. It’s important that you start slowly and learn how to stretch, warm up and cool down in order to avoid injury. You also may want to try an exercise trampoline. This is a gentle way to increase the stress on your bones and send a signal to the vertebrae to lay down more calcium along the stress-bearing planes.

Exercise such as walking, golf, doubles tennis, horseback riding, Ping-Pong and dancing may only mildly increase the pumping action of your heart, but they are still tremendous improvements for a former nonexerciser. If you fall into that category, walking is the best way to begin. If you are someone who hasn't walked more than two blocks in years, you'll notice an immediate and great change in how feel. Walk five blocks, then try six. If it's hard on you today, take comfort in the certainty that the stiffness will ease, your breathing will improve and relaxing endorphins will be released into your body. And before you know it, you'll be walking a mile. Moving can and will feel good—it's actually what your body was built to do and what it wants! Remember, Mother Nature did not design us for our sedentary modern lifestyle.

Anaerobic exercise is any type of physical activity that isn’t significantly aerobic. This includes exercise that builds muscle mass, such as weight lifting. It also includes other types of training such as resistance and isometrics. Building muscle mass does not mean becoming one of those bulging bodybuilders. If you keep at it, you will begin to notice a gradual sculpting taking place under your skin—and you’re going to like how it looks. But if vanity doesn’t drive you to take up some weight-bearing exercise, maybe the fear of frailty will. It is this type of exercise that helps stave off the loss of bone density that accompanies aging. This is why resistance training is so important to prevent osteoporosis.

With all the pressures today's teenagers have to deal with, it's no wonder so many are in trouble.

Statistics show that teen suicide and teen pregnancy are on the rise, as is the firearm-homicide rate for teens. Smoking among teens is in vogue, and two-thirds of eighth-graders report that they have tried alcohol. And only about 38 percent of them get enough exercise - which means the other 62 percent are setting themselves up for a sedentary life and all the problems that come with it.

Now's the time to change these statistics. Research has shown that kids who play sports, or who are physically active, are less likely to have these problems. But getting kids to exercise is no easy task unless you're willing to spend time with them and learn to speak their language.

Mo. – Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the United States. The amount of stress and anxiety a person experiences is a major factor in cardiovascular disease. For the past three decades experts have vacillated in their recommendations concerning the amount and intensity of exercise required to alleviate stress and anxiety.

Recently, most experts have agreed that a moderate to low amount of regular exercise can ease personal tension and stress. However, a new study by researchers at the University of Missouri-Columbia shows that a relatively high-intensity exercise is superior in reducing stress and anxiety that may lead to heart disease. Moreover, the researchers found that high-intensity exercise especially benefits women.

“Conventional wisdom says that exercising for 30 minutes at a moderate exercise intensity is more effective in reducing anxiety than either a low or high intensity dose,” said Richard Cox, professor of educational and counseling psychology and leader of the study. “This conclusion, however, is deceptively simple because reductions in anxiety are not always observed immediately following a high intensity bout of exercise.”

In the study, female participants, ages 18 to 20 and 35 to 45, completed three experimental sessions. Each session started with a test to determine the anxiety level of the participant. Following the test, the women either did not exercise (control condition) or exercised at a moderate or high-intensity level for 33 minutes. After the session, Cox measured anxiety levels at 5, 30, 60 and 90 minutes post-exercise.

Although all three exercise conditions, including the control condition, showed a decline in anxiety over time, Cox found the high-intensity level experienced the sharpest decline. Cox said the intensity of exercise conditions did not differ in anxiety levels at baseline or immediately after exercise, but a difference favoring the high intensity level emerged at 30, 60 and 90 minutes post-exercise.

Results also showed that when the iron status of the women was taken into consideration, the beneficial effect of high-intensity exercise was greater for the older women.

“This is a relationship that needs to be further explored,” Cox said. “It appears to suggest that after controlling for iron status, the beneficial effects of exercise on anxiety may only apply to older women and not to younger women.”

Cox believes this study, which is scheduled for publication in the Research Quarterly for Exercise and Sport, will prove beneficial to medical practitioners in the fight against heart disease.

Held each year on the Saturday before Easter Sunday this eggstraordinary event celebrates the coming of spring with many eggciting activities and surprises. Guests of all ages will participate in springtime games and crafts, search for egg hunt stations throughout the museum, have their faces painted, and may even have their picture taken with the Spring Bunny! Children are given a colorful spring bag to fill with treats as they travel throughout the event. Does the unseasonably warm spring weather have you thinking about summer already? Get a head start on summer plans with an Early Bird Season Pass for Parker’s H2O’Brien outdoor pool. From April 1 to April 30, the Parker Recreation Department is offering a 10% discount on all H2O’Brien season passes. 10% discount does not apply to 10-punch passes.

Season pass, 10-punch, and daily admission rates for the pool will be the same as last season. Season passes are regularly $70 for Parker residents under 48 inches tall and $90 for Parker residents over 48 inches tall. Families pay full price for their highest price pass, and then buy the rest at 50% off. 10-punch cards are $28 for Parker residents under 48 inches tall and $36 for residents over 48 inches. Daily admission is $3.50 for residents under 48 inches and $4.50 for residents over 48 inches. Residents must show identification with a Parker address to receive resident rates. Non-residents pay slightly higher admission rates in all categories.

Recreation Center members who have annual or 6-month memberships that covers the period from June to August will be eligible to add on an H2O’ Brien season pass for $50 for the first person and $25 for any additional family members.

Season passes are good for unlimited admission to H2O’Brien Pool all summer. Season passes are ideal for individuals who visit the pool two or more times per week throughout the summer. Season passes are not transferable. 10-punch passes are a good buy for individuals who come once or twice per week, or for families who come three times over the summer. Punches can be used for any number of family members or friends within the same height category. Daily admission is the best deal for people who will only visit the pool a couple of times over the summer.

Passes may be purchased at the Parker Recreation Center, 17301 E. Lincoln Ave., 303.841.4500. H2O’Brien Pool opens for the 2005 season on May 27. Parker Recreation will be hiring summer staff during April. Call Angie or Anna at 303.841-4500 for details.

Additional pool information including hours of operation, special events, parties, and swimming lessons will be published in the summer Parker Recreation Brochure, scheduled to be mailed to all Parker households by April 8.
