October 4 - Did you know that people in other parts of the world eat bugs – willingly? You have probably eaten bugs without even knowing it. Learn all about edible insects at an exciting Bug Bites program given by the Butterfly Pavilion at 1 p.m.
October 11 - Join Wildlife Vistas at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. for a fascinating look at snakes from around the globe. Learn about the differences between venomous and non-venomous snakes and what to do if you see a snake in the wild. Several LIVE snakes will be shown!
October 18 - Whooo are flying silent stalkers of the night? Owls of course! HawkQuest will display four different species of LIVE owls from 1-3 p.m. and have staff and volunteers available to teach you all about these amazing creatures.
October 25 - Experience creepy crawly critters at a live animal booth by Animal Adventures with Safari Sally. Get an up close look at some amazing invertebrates and other crazy creatures from around the world. Learn about the diverse adaptations these animals have which enable them to survive in different environments.
